Boebert pressed on her record of passing bills during debate.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) admitted that she did not accomplish much legislatively in Congress when pressed on her record of passing bills during a GOP primary debate on Thursday.

Boebert, who is more known for her multiple scandals than her work in Congress, was asked during the debate about her congressional record since she was elected to the US House of Representatives in 2020.

“How many bills did you prime-sponsor … in the U.S. Congress that actually were signed by the president of the United States?” state Representative Richard Holtorf asked the congresswoman.

Boebert attempted to dodge the question, arguing that Holtorf has a “failing Liberty score,” which a score, given by a conservative institute, to lawmakers based on their legislative record.

“Would you like to answer the question, or would you like to talk about Liberty scores?” Holtorf asked. “You can answer the question, ma’am, it’s OK. I asked a very specific question, please answer it.”

“One of my favorite pieces of legislation that has been signed into law is my Pueblo Jobs Act that creates at least 1,000 jobs in Pueblo, Colorado,” Boebert said.

“But there are also many other pieces of legislation that I’ve passed through the House—” she continued,

“It doesn’t matter if it’s passed through the House. If the president doesn’t sign it, ma’am, then it doesn’t get passed,” Holtorf said.

Asked to give a specific number to show the amount of bills she prime- sponsored that became law, Boebert admitted it was just one—The Pueblo Jobs Act.
