Melania Trump has kept a low profile since her husband lost the 2020 presidential election, but according to Page Six, that is about to change.
Sources told the outlet that Melania is “feeling more sure of herself” after her “positive reception” at Rosalynn Carter’s funeral and is now ready to “step up top-tier diplomatic appearances in 2024.”
Melania was slammed as “disrespectful’ for wearing a gray coat to Carter’s funeral while the other first ladies wore black.
Earlier this month, Melania also delivered a speech at the National Archives Naturalization Ceremony. She was criticized for being a hypocrite considering that her husband plans to implement far-right immigration policies to limit both legal and illegal immigration if he is re-elected.
“Melania realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic first ladies and leave her mark on history,” the source told Page Six. “She feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around.”
Trump and his family are confident he will be re-elected in 2024 and are “solidly” behind him, the source added.
It is a reversal from this summer when the New York Times reported that Melania has repeatedly rejected Trump’s offers to join him on the campaign trail.
