Nikki Haley has surpassed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in national polling average and is now second place behind Donald Trump in the GOP primary.

“With all necessary caveats about confidence intervals and there being multiple ways to calculate an average: Nikki Haley has now pulled ahead of Ron DeSantis for 2nd place in 538’s national GOP primary polling average,” a senior editor and senior elections analyst for FiveThirtyEight Nathaniel Rakich said in a post on X/Twitter.

This marks the first time Haley has overtaken DeSantis in the national polling average in the GOP primary.

However, she remains a distant second behind Trump who continues to dominate the primary field.
